Detergent soaked into the wood of the cabinet under my bathroom sink; what’s the best way to remove it?

I broke a large bottle of detergent under my bathroom sink; I tried wiping it up but it’s soaked into the wood. There’s also a strong detergent odor I’d like to get rid of. I’ve been using bleach to clean the mold that has since grown down there. What’s the best way to remove the detergent (it’s rented so it’d be hard to just get rid of the cabinet)?

    Well…. the detergent smell wouldn’t really bother me…. but of course you don’t want a sticky mess down there….

    Vinegar cuts soap, so you could try wiping it with that, but it’s going to take repeating and repeating and repeating a lot of times…

    Be sure to keep that cabinet open as much as you can so that air can circulate… this will help keep things dry and cut down on a mold problem.
