How do I remove dried hair color from the bathroom sink cabinet?

I tinted my hair last night in the bathroom. Some hair color trickled down the sink cabinet and dried there. It won’t come off. I tried toothpaste and nail polish remover. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions? Help appreciated.

You could try Mr. Clean magic eraser. I don’t know if it will work, but I seem to remember using one for just that. I know it takes marker off of hardwood, so give it a try!

Try “goof off”, not to be confused with goo gone. Goo gone is weaker and intended for removing adhesive and light stains. Goof-off comes in a metal can with a plastic cap. Be aware that it might remove color from your cabinet, so try it first on an inconspicuous spot to make sure you won’t strip the finish.

I have gotten it on my wood vanity and the only thing that removes it is found at the beauty supply store called Clean Touch haircolor stain remover by Revlon. It comes in a 4 ounce bottle for $2.99 and it will remove hair dye from fabric, skin, carpet and the vanity. I wouldn’t use Goof Off if your vanity has a polyurethane finish because it will remove it (tried that).

Try making a paste with baking soda and scrub.
