Shanker asked:

My wife uses hairspray liberally in the bathroom. There’s a film of hairspray on the medicine cabinet window that I can’t get off. Does anyone have any hints on how best to remove the film?

Use vinegar mixed with water, that is what I did!

Try a Mr. Clean sponge then follow up with Sprayway glass cleaner.

I use the magic eraser on EVERYTHING! It’s absolutely amazing, it should take it off.

    Plain old rubbing alcohol.
My wife loaded up her glasses with hairspray so I took them to the eye doctor to have the damage assessed. The lady took the glasses from me, wiped them with rubbing alcohol and they were as good as new.
Just for fun I experimented and found that rubbing alcohol is probably the best cleaner of kitchen grease anybody is going to find anywhere.

Thanks daylily-I’m always leaving a pen somewhere

Rubbing alcohol. Wipe it on full strength until the hairspray is gone, then wash the window with Windex. Alcohol will also take ink out of fabric.
